Tsjekkia er verdens mest ateistiske land. Samtidig jobber Gud for fullt. Mennesker får oppdage Jesus, og begynner å følge han. Og ungdommer får erfare at Gud kan bruke dem - i deres egen by. Det oppleves som om Gud har satt foran oss en vid åpen dør. Vær så god, gå! Det har vi tenkt å gjøre noe med.
Til sommeren blir det derfor mission weeks i 10 forskjellige tsjekkiske byer. Det begynner med en Impuls helg 29.juni - 1.juli. Så sendes vi ut til hele Tsjekkia i 10 team på 20-30 stk. Hvert team består av den lokale ungdomsgruppen, et team fra en annen by i Tsjekkia eller Slovakia, og et team fra et annet land.
En mission week ligner på en god gammaldags leir. Forskjellen er at vi bor sammen i et hus i sentrum av byen vi drar til, og at vi sammen går ut i byen for å dele Jesus med ord og handling. Det er fantastisk å se mennesker ta sine første skritt med Jesus. Og det er fantastisk å se unge mennesker, både de lokale og gjestene, begynne å dele troen sin.
Til nå vet vi at det blir med team fra Tsjekkia, Slovakia, Finland og Norge. Også ungdom fra andre land er interessert. Så dette blir en skikkelig storsatsing for å nå ut til tsjekkere med evangeliet om den levende Jesus. Lyst til å være med? Czech Republic is the most atheistic country in the world. At the same time God is at work. People get to discover Jesus and starts following him. And youths experiences that God can use them - in their own city. It seems like God has put a vide open door in front of us. Your welcome, go! We intend to do something about that.
That means that in the summer there will be mission weeks in 10 different Czech cities. It starts with an Impuls weekend from June 29 to July 1. Then we are sent into Czech Rep in 10 teams of 20-30 people. Each team consists of the local youth group, a team from another city in Czech Rep or Slovakia, and one team from abroad.
A mission week is quit similar to a good old camp. The difference is that we all live together in a building in the city centre, and that we during the day go into the city together to share Jesus in words and acts. It is amazing to see people take their first steps with Jesus. And it is amazing to see youths, both locals and visitors, starting to share their faith.
So far we know that there will be teams participating from Czech Rep, Slovakia, Finland and Norway. Also youths from other countries are interested. So this will be an exciting week reaching out with the gospel to Czechs. Want to join?
